Still struggling from the effects of a narcissistic abusive relationship?...

then this one day conference is for you!

Many people struggle with Narcissistic Victim Syndrome (NVS), yet in the UK, information about it remains scarce both online and in written research. Specialist counsellors and therapists are also limited. NVS is not officially recognised, and even among those who are aware of it, effective treatment strategies are not widely known. Being in a relationship with a narcissist, whether short-term or long-term, can have severe and lasting traumatic effects.

Do These Symptoms Sound Familiar?

Ruined self-confidence, doubting yourself and your sanity, mood swings, sleeplessness, extreme weight loss or weight gain, uncharacteristic jealousy/insecurity, confusion between right and wrong, extreme paranoia (becoming an obsessive detective), obsessive thinking about your ex, believing you are the abuser or at fault, constantly seeking explanations for what happened, endless crying, feelings of helplessness and despair, a desire to self-isolate, feeling desperately misunderstood, overwhelming feelings of loss and grief, extreme bouts of rage, inability to be comfortable with yourself, strange dreams, sudden, inexplicable anxiety followed by depression.

If you have experienced psychological and emotional abuse at the hands of a narcissist or psychopath, these symptoms may be all too familiar.

"Nobody Understands!"

When you try to explain your experience to people who haven't encountered a narcissist, they might deny your experience, accuse you of exaggerating, or look at you as if you are crazy. This can make you feel isolated, depressed, and doubtful about your own sanity.

"Maybe my ex is right, maybe I am wrong, maybe it really is me..."

Our one-day conference will cover various aspects of narcissistic abuse, including The Idealisation-Devaluation-Discard Phase, Gaslighting, Smear campaigns, Triangulation, Codependency, The False self vs. The True self.

Book your ticket now as seats are limited and the event is expected to sell out quickly.

GARETH GATES

GARETH GATES CONFERENCE HEADSHOT_edited_edited_edited_edited.jpg

GARETH GATES – MULTI-PLATINUM ARTIST & CHAMPION OF RESILIENCE AFTER ABUSE

Gareth Gates first captured the nation’s heart as the runner-up on Pop Idol in 2002, showcasing his extraordinary vocal talent and unwavering determination. Despite living with a stammer, he refused to let it hold him back, going on to sell over 3.5 million records worldwide and star in leading roles in West End productions such as Les Misérables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Footloose.

His journey from a shy young performer to an internationally recognised artist is nothing short of inspiring. However, behind the spotlight, Gareth faced deep personal struggles that many never saw. As a child, he was a victim of bullying and abuse—experiences that left lasting emotional scars. Growing up with a stammer made him an easy target, and the constant ridicule shattered his confidence. Even as an adult, he has occasionally encountered mistreatment, but rather than allowing these challenges to define him, he used them as fuel to rebuild his self-worth and resilience.

Through therapy, personal development, and sheer determination, Gareth has transformed his pain into purpose. He has become a vocal advocate for overcoming adversity, mental well-being, and self-empowerment, proving that our struggles do not have to limit our potential. His work with speech therapy programmes, including the McGuire Programme, has helped others who face similar challenges find their own voice.

At this conference, Gareth will share his deeply personal story of survival, healing, and growth. He will speak about the emotional impact of abuse, the struggles of living with a stammer, and the powerful journey of reclaiming his confidence. His story is a testament to the fact that resilience, self-belief, and support can help anyone rise above adversity and thrive.

Gareth’s journey serves as a powerful reminder that no matter what life throws at us, we have the strength to overcome it and emerge stronger.

DR STUART WOOD

Stuart headshot blk bkg-6025_edited_edited.jpg

DR. STUART WOOD PhD– EDUCATOR SPECIALISING IN NARCISSISM AND TOXICITY, AUTHOR, SPEAKER

Having grown up in a family affected by narcissism but, like so many of us, not realising it, Stuart was also exposed to narcissism in education and at work. In 1998, he was forced to take a two-year break due to serious depression.

It was whilst rebuilding his life, with the help of a counsellor, that Stuart began to understand the forces that had caused his mental collapse and techniques he could use to combat these.

His focus on narcissism and toxicity was honed over four years when he supported a friend out of a long-term, abusive marriage. During this time, Stuart witnessed what so many people do not: narcissism in its naked, unbridled ferocity and terror.

The profound impact of these experiences and the research necessary to help cope with and counter the prolonged, unrelenting attacks of the abuser, motivated him to write his book. Stuart describes Escaping The Void (How to Support Victims Out of Emotionally Abusive Relationships) as ‘a guide to understanding narcissism, its tactics, roots and impacts so that we can survive, rebuild and thrive.’

Stuart focuses on helping his audiences to understand narcissism, in all its forms and how to take action so that they can rebuild their lives.

His breadth and depth of experience (academia, clinical research and overcoming fears), friendly persona and reputation for making new, complex ideas easy to understand by his audience, allow Stuart to inspire, encourage and motivate his listeners to keep going, remember their potential and create the new life they deserve.
